The Makita LS1040 is a 10 inch compound miter saw that's powered by their world famous 15 amp motor that spins the included 40 tooth carbide blade at over 4600 RPM. This translates into smooth, clean cuts all day long. This model also features a dual post compound pivoting arm and is capable of bevel cuts from 0-45˚ to the left, and miter cuts ranging from 0-45˚ and 0-52˚ on the left and right respectively.
The Makita LS1040 also features 9 convenient positive stops, allowing you to quickly switch between common angles to improve efficiency. It also sports a pivot fence that adjusts to support larger stock and it's also extremely light at just 24 pounds, which makes it very portable.
