Makita is a Japanese company that was founded in 1915 selling and repairing electrical equipment. They can also be stored for a long time since they have a very low self-discharge rate and are heavy duty enabling them to absorb shocks.

These characteristics are what has made Makita power tools leaders in the cordless market place and why these tools are so popular with trade professionals. Makita now have a large range of Lithium-Ion cordless tools which are aimed primarily at tradesmen.
